Saturday 12th May 2018 ~ Provincial Grand Lodge & Provincial Grand Chapter ~ St. George's Hall
On Friday 11th May 2018, the Right Worshipful Brother Alan
Vaughan retires as Provincial Grand Master and Most Excellent Grand
Superintendent in and over the Province of Bristol. The Province would
like to thank him for his years of service to the Province in this
capacity but also in his previous roles as Deputy PGM and Second Provincial Grand Principal which has totalled some 15 years. Under his
leadership the Province has moved forward not only in its place in
English Freemasonry but also in its links with the local community and
its support of local charities.
But things and people move on. On Saturday 12th
May 2018 we see the next chapter in the unique Province of Bristol when Worshipful Brother
Jonathan Davis will be installed as the Provincial Grand Master and Most
Excellent Grand Superintendent for Bristol by the Deputy Grand Master Right Worshipful
Brother Jonathan Spence. These events are rare occurrences and do not
happen very often. We would therefore like to encourage all Master
Masons and above to attend and witness the great ceremonial in the
Installation of the new Provincial Grand Master and Provincial Grand Lodge on Saturday 12th
May at St Georges Hall at 3.30pm.
Following this there will be a
celebratory evening dinner at Freemasons Hall Park which is only open to
Bristol Brethren and all Bristol brethren are welcome to attend and
should contact the Provincial Grand Treasurer, Worshipful Brother Viv Bevan, to book
The day will also see Worshipful Brother Richard Lewis PAGDC being
invested as Deputy Provincial Grand Master and Second Provincial Grand
Principal. Unfortunately, due to seating capacity restraints,
attendance at the installation of the new Most Excellent Grand Superintendent and Provincial Grand
Chapter is by invitation only.
Both the Provincial Grand Master Designate and
Deputy Provincial Grand Master Designate would welcome and appreciate
your support on this occasion.
