A Thank you from Emmaus Bristol
Dear Mr. Binding,
I am writing to you on behalf of Emmaus Bristol to acknowledge our gratitude for the generous donation of £3,000 received this week.
Thanks to supporters like your institution, we can offer 25 spaces in our community, supporting people to rebuild their lives and help themselves out of homelessness. As well as a home, we also give formerly homeless people – companions in our community – bespoke support based on their individual training and employment needs.
This last year has seen us renovate three 3 bed Bristol City Council houses to provide more affordable housing for those finding it too expensive to rent homes in Bristol, including some of our former companions, as they move on into jobs or seek employment.
We are proud to be a community that works. We now operate three shops (plus our eBay shop) and services such as house clearances and PAT testing, to help us fund what we do, as well as giving vital work experience to companions.
You can keep up to date with our latest news and activities going to our website www.emmausbristol.org.uk and signing up to our newsletter.
Thank you again for your donation, it really makes a huge difference.
