Bristol Mason David Wallington celebrates 50 Years a mason by going back into the chair of St. Katharine Lodge NO 7051, the Lodge hew was first initiated into back in April 1969.
Companions, welcome to you all. I have already greeted our distinguished visitors but I also welcome each of the companions of the Province of Bristol, who have travelled so far from the traditional venue for Provincial Grand Chapter, I trust that your journeys were uneventful. We have chosen City Hall for the very specific purpose of being able to accommodate a greater number of companions than we could at Freemasons’ Hall. It seemed unjust to limit our numbers, when we have this splendid site on our doorsteps, and I hope that we have a number of companions attending for the first time.
Brethren, it was but a year ago that I was installed as Provincial Grand Master. The twelve months have flown past, but it has been a most memorable and enjoyable year.
As this is my first proper address to Provincial Grand Lodge, I have limited myself to four topics this morning. Each one is quite long, but there are only four of them.
The first is a review of the last 12 months, reflecting on our ambitions at the start of the year, and to comment on the outcomes. We have launched a number of initiatives this year with the specific intention of enriching the experience of Masons in Bristol.
Join the Provincial #Movember team this year and help change the face of men’s health.
